Farm

FOR SALE BY OWNER. Contact Terri at email: T92692@gmail.com

5 acre farm lot available in Kiilae Farms, Captain Cook, Hawaii.

Kiilae Farms is a private gated community, with city water to the property (so you don’t need to build a water catchment), and panoramic views of the ocean, coast, and the “Place of Refuge” Pu’uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park.

For more information about the subdivision, you can go to the Real Estate Broker’s website at http://kiilaefarms.com/, however, the lot is NOT listed with this real estate broker. But check out their website – there’s a super cool flyover of the property from a drone, and you can access all of the available lots in the community.

Also, we have access at the bottom of the hill (park in the cul-de-sac) to beautiful trails that go up and down the coast, and if you hike north on the trail for 1/2 block, then hang a left, you’ll follow a lava path over to the gorgeous lava fields at the coastline.

Look thru the following photos, see the YouTube video from the street location, feel free to tromp on the lot (I can give you access), but wear long pants and sleeves – because it’s so overgrown!

There’s a coconut tree and a white pole that (I think) are at the top edge of the 5 acre lot.

About 1/3 of the way down the 5 acre lot, there’s a farm road that cuts to the back of the property, and curves around to the right, arriving at a terraced pad. It’s all overgrown with tall grass, and the house pad is overgrown with 4 years of Hawaii growth.
The bottom of lot 39 is defined by city water connections, next to a dirt road, that travels along the lower edge of the property and goes to lot 38. For a couple of years, we had beehives located off this lower road (we didn’t maintain the bees – the bee company did – we like it because we get tax breaks for having “farming” on the lot.
We had bees on the upper pad in 2016, and the beekeeper moved the bees to the lower part of the lot in 2018, but the bees are gone now, and the farm road and lot is overgrown.
